On 1 December, Canon Hong Kong organized the second Blood Donation Day in 2022. Over the whole year, 58 packs of qualified blood were donated to the Hong Kong Red Cross Blood Transfusion Service (BTS) with support from Canon Engineering Hong Kong Co., Ltd., and Canon Electronic Business Machines (H.K.) Company Ltd.

Blood transfusion is an indispensable component of health care, which may even be life-saving in various medical conditions. It contributes to save millions of lives each year in routine and emergency operations. In response to the appeal of the low blood inventory level during the fifth wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, Canon Hongkong Co., Ltd. (Canon Hong Kong) organized Blood Donation Day soonest upon the release of social distancing rules and invited Canon Engineering Hong Kong Co., Ltd (CEHK) to join and support on 12 May. Altogether, 31 packs of qualified blood have been donated to the Hong Kong Red Cross Blood Transfusion Service (BTS).

In early April, through ‘SHARE FOR GOOD’, the Hong Kong first city-wide crowd donation platform which is initiated by the New World Development, Canon Hong Kong is making a donation of adult face masks and rapid antigen tests to Hong Kong Family Welfare Society and Mission to New Arrivals respectively for distribution to those in need.
