Photography Services for the First Time

The divorce rate of Hong Kong remains on a rising trend in recent years, with an average of over 20,000 divorce cases per year in the past decade. Amidst this backdrop, it is truly remarkable for couples to walk through life together. Canon Hongkong Company Limited (Canon Hong Kong) is honored to serve as "Imaging Partner" in the "Emerald Wedding Ceremony" jointly organized by the RCC Neighborhood Center and Revival Christian Church. By utilizing our imaging expertise to deliver professional wedding photo shoot and print services to the elderly couples, we aim to promote positive marital values among the public.

This year marks the 55th anniversary of Revival Christian Church. To commemorate the occasion, the RCC Neighborhood Center organized the "Emerald Wedding Ceremony" on May 5 and invited around 50 couples from different background to attend. Most of them were elderly couples who have been married for several decades yet never had the opportunity to take wedding photos or even hold a formal wedding ceremony. In response, the Center invited Canon Hong Kong to be the "Imaging Partner" and provide professional wedding photo shoot and print services. To preserve their unwavering love and romantic memories forever, vibrant wedding portraits were printed in oil painting paper using Canon's professional large format printer imagePROGRAF series and elegantly framed in A2 photo frames.

The "Emerald Wedding Photo Sharing Session" was then held on July 7, where Mr. Kazuhiro Ozawa, President and CEO of Canon Hong Kong, presented the wedding photos to the couples and witnessed the heartwarming moments. In particular, Mr. and Mrs. Lo, who have been married for 56 years, expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Ozawa. They had always regretted not having the chance to take wedding photos in early years and were deeply impressed that the event fulfilled their dream. Their long-lasting love stories and insights on maintaining an enduring marriage were shared at the ceremony, providing inspiration and wisdom to all participants.

The event’s theme of upholding “Eternal Love” perfectly aligns with our corporate philosophy of “Kyosei”. By advocating long-term marriage and praising the traditional virtue of "Holding Hands and Growing Old Together," Canon Hong Kong hopes to bring positive energy to the community and contribute to the development of harmonious and stable family relationships.

The event was spectacular with around 50 couples holding hands upon entering the church, and strengthening their marriage commitments witnessed by their relatives, friends and other participants.

The Chairman of the Board of RCC Neighborhood Center, Mr. Ng Fai Nam presented the Certificate of Appreciation to Mr. Kazuhiro Ozawa (right), President and CEO of Canon Hong Kong, in recognition of our engagement in public welfare through imaging expertise.

Mr. and Mrs. Tong, who have been together for 61 years, had a simple wedding in early years due to straitened family conditions, and Mrs. Tong did not wear a wedding dress at that time. They were very grateful that the event allowed them to make up for past regrets.
