Canon Hong Kong Supports the Orbis Walk for Sight 2024 by Providing Onsite Photo Shoots and Print Services
The human eye is the major organ that helps us visualize and enjoy all elements around us; photos are one of the important tools to capture memorable moments and express messages. So, it is of utmost importance to maintain healthy eyesight. As an imaging-oriented company, Canon is keen to advocate awareness of eye care and protection activities. That is why Canon Hongkong Company Limited (Canon Hong Kong) has been the long-term partner supporting Orbis Hong Kong's eye care services for over 20 years. This year, Canon Hong Kong supports the 20th edition of the “Orbis Walk for the Sight 2024”. The event especially aims to encourage parents and kids to enjoy the countryside walk with nature’s glorious colors and raise funding to tackle blindness.
The event held on 7 April with Tai Tam Hong Kong International School as start and end point. The event attracted about 1,300 participants. They can choose a pleasant 6-km family stroll or a more challenging 10-km hike for advanced walkers. As one of the supporting organizations for the event, Canon Hong Kong set up a photo shoot and print booth among the fun-packed post-event carnival after the walk. With the help of our photographer, participating families enjoyed the great photo shooting section, and 161 sets of high-quality photos were printed as an extra gift to memorize the happy moment for the day.
The Orbis Walk for Sight is a fruitful event with hiking elements and a post-event carnival, with various activities including bouncy castle, braille workshop, face painting, magic show, busking station, Playright zone etc. There were also 4 blindfold yoga sessions for parents and kids to stretch their body and exercise, followed by stunning dancing and drum performance on stage.
