Action for Positive Energy: Canon Hong Kong has Donated Hygienic Supplies to the Local Community
The epidemic has changed every aspect of life, but what remains unchanged is the connection between people. We believe that every small act of kindness contains infinite energy. Canon Hongkong Company Limited (Canon Hong Kong) expresses deep concern for the ongoing epidemic outbreaking in Hong Kong, and the crisis it has created. Therefore, in early April, we have organized an internal fund-raising campaign, calling for staff support on the donation for hygiene supplies together with company donation scheme.
Since the outbreak of COVID-19, the urging needs of the supplies has been a concern. Our enthusiastic colleagues have also supported through an internal fund-raising campaign on top of the company donation. Through ‘SHARE FOR GOOD’, the Hong Kong first city-wide crowd donation platform which is initiated by the New World Development, Canon Hong Kong is making a donation of approximately 48,000 pieces of adult face masks and 1,800 boxes of rapid antigen tests to Hong Kong Family Welfare Society and Mission to New Arrivals respectively for distribution to those in need.
The pandemic has been affecting all walks of life and the city’s most vulnerable have been hit hardest. It is uplifting to see the proactive campaigns initiated by different sectors. Echoes with the corporate spirit of ‘Kyosei’, we hope to do our best to contribute to the community and care for those in need during this difficult time.
Under the fifth wave of COVID-19, Canon Hong Kong participated in the ‘SHARE FOR GOOD’, the first Hong Kong city-wide crowd donation platform initiated by the New World Development, to facilitate safe and efficient delivery of adult face masks and rapid antigen tests for those in need.
