Blood transfusion plays a crucial role in healthcare, saving millions of lives every year during routine and emergency medical procedures. Canon Hongkong Company Limited (Canon Hong Kong) is thrilled to announce the successful completion of the Canon Blood Donation Day on 18 August 2023, at the company's headquarters. This remarkable event was organized in collaboration with the Hong Kong Red Cross Blood Transfusion Service and received a tremendous response from 50 employees of Canon Hong Kong, Canon Electronic Business Machines (H.K.) Company Limited (CEBM), and Canon Engineering Hong Kong Company Limited (CEHK) together. The Canon Blood Donation Day aims to encourage voluntary blood donations and raise awareness about the critical demand for blood in healthcare institutions. We are proud to share that the event surpassed our initial target, resulting in the collection of 36 packs of qualified blood.

"Canon has always been dedicated to giving back to the community, and the Canon Blood Donation Day is a vital part of our corporate social responsibility initiatives. We firmly believe in the impact of collective effort. Each individual donation has the potential to save up to three lives, making every participant a hero. We express our heartfelt gratitude to the Hong Kong Red Cross Blood Transfusion Service for their invaluable partnership and unwavering support from all our warmhearted colleagues from the Canon group companies in Hong Kong throughout this event. We are also immensely grateful to everyone who played a role in making this event a resounding success." stated Mr. Kazuhiro Ozawa, President and CEO of Canon Hong Kong.
