2019 Shenzhen International 5G & Cloud Industry Expo
The “2019 Shenzhen International 5G and Cloud Industry Expo” with the theme “5G & Cloud” was held at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center from 10 to 12 October 2019. The expo has gathered enterprise resources from different sectors, including 5G, cloud computing, internet of things, artificial intelligence, etc. The integration of 5G and Cloud technology enables revolutionary changes in different industries. On this Expo, Canon illustrated how Document AI solution is able to improve the data transfer process in workflow with AI and machine learning technology, and therefore achieving automation.
Document Management and Capturing Solution – IRISXtract, which is included in Document AI solution, is able to distribute documents into the workflow and automatically extracts the data needed for the corresponding business process. Data are then transferred and collected to the required applications to facilitate colleagues to apply the content to their work tasks. This process is therefore faster and more accurate than manual processing and reduce the chance of error at the same time.
Machine learning ability allows IRISXtract to make references from past processed documents, such as purchase orders, invoices, questionnaires, etc. With increasing accuracy, it reduces the human resources on repetitive work and enables enterprises to invest more capital, time and manpower in expanding customer base. The digitalized data will be transferred by Document Management Solution – Therefore, and finally stored on the e-platform, speeding up business operations and information sharing time between departments.
Intelligent Security Solution
In addition, Canon demonstrated the secure print function of Intelligent Security Solution on the Expo, assisting business to ensure security and privacy of documents. Canon also explained how to utilize the usage statistics to reduce office printing costs and to use paper in a smarter way for business sustainability.
Secure printing provides a simple, fast and personalized way of printing and scanning documents. It supports mobile phones, WeChat Work, face and fingerprint recognition authentication. To be printed documents will first be encrypted and stored on the print server and will not be officially printed until the identity is verified, ensuring sensitive business information will only be available to authorized users. On the exhibition, Canon demonstrated different verification methods and allowed customers to experience the biometric authentication at Canon booth. Customers were thus able to have a deeper understand on how such function can improve printing experience, elevate productivity and work efficiency.
Intelligent Security Solution’s integration of smart control, analysis and printing management. It contains Output Management Solution – uniFLOW, which also enables printing output statistics, allowing the management of employees' printing habits. Through the comprehensive usage statistics, management level can instantly browse the actual number of prints and photocopies of each employee in the company and hence adjust the internal document management system in a more cost-effective way. At the same time, all usage data can be even synchronized to Power BI for real-time data analysis. This is a convenient way for companies to make comparison and report, ensuring the effective use of internal document management system and optimize production efficiency.
