Generative AI Design: One Prompt ‧ Infinite Variations
With the rapid advancement of AI image generation and design technologies, users can now create and edit visual content using just a simple prompt. This development has made generative AI a popular tool for both social media and commercial applications.
The “Generative AI Design” event series has been enthusiastically received by customers. On 9 September 2025, Canon hosted another session under the theme “Generative AI Design: One Prompt, Infinite Variations.” The event aimed to explore the applications of generative AI in everyday life and business, while showcasing vibrant colors and intricate details produced by Canon’s professional Large Format Printers.
The event featured three main sessions. First, Mr. Matthew Chau, a Certified Multimedia Educator, introduced several free generative AI tools and provided easy-to-follow, hands-on guidance for creating prompts for image generation and editing. Participants experienced firsthand how simple commands can be used to repair or extend images, generate scenes, change image styles, and more—significantly reduce design time and enhance productivity.
In the second part, Ms. Brenda Pang, Director of the Advanced Printing Technology Centre (APTEC), as the keynote speaker to provide participants with an in-depth analysis of the key elements in print setting and requirements comprehensively. She delved into the impact of different printing media on color fidelity and how to configure file color modes for accurate preview.
The last session was led by Mr. Antony Chan, Canon’s Product Consultant, sharing expert guidance on selecting suitable printing systems and highlighting related considerations on equipment. Participants also had the opportunity to experience Canon's latest professional large format printers, the imagePROGRAF PRO series. This series features the innovative 12-color LUCIA PRO II ink, which not only reproduces delicate colors perfectly on various materials but also offers excellent lightfastness and scratch resistance, making post-print processing and mounting more convenient. Another highlight, the imagePROGRAF GP series, is renowned for its outstanding color performance. With up to 97% coverage on the PANTONE Pastels & Neons Guide Coated paper, especially for pastel and neon colors, it fully demonstrates its color reproduction capabilities, ensuring that works meet clients' exact color requirements.
The event received an enthusiastic response, and Canon will continue to organize similar workshops in the future to help businesses stay ahead of technological developments and unleash their creative potential.
