On 10 October 2025, the Hong Kong Information Technology Federation (HKITF) held the “NextGen Innovations: AI | Security | Smart Office Conference”, providing a platform to demonstrate how the latest technologies are empowering organizations while fostering knowledge exchange among industry experts and participants, thereby shaping the future of work.
Mr. Ivan Kwok, Senior Manager of Canon Hongkong Company Limited, delivered a keynote address titled “Redefine Business Process by AI Agent.” In his presentation, he provided an in-depth analysis of frontier technologies such as Agentic AI, GraphRAG, and Model Context Protocol (MCP), explaining how these innovations enable seamless data integration from multiple data sources, perform advanced logical analysis and causal inference, and ultimately empower enterprises to make informed decisions, streamline business processes, and optimize cost management strategies.
During the event, Canon’s solutions consultants also introduced AI Genie 2, an intelligent business platform, demonstrating how the system simplifies finance routine processes such as accounts payable. The platform automatically extracts key information from invoices and uses two-way matching to cross-verify and identify data discrepancies, significantly improving data accuracy and payment processing efficiency.
AI Genie 2 can also be applied to departments like HR and Sales. For example, the system can analyze applicants’ educational backgrounds, professional experience, and salary expectations based on recruitment requirements, automatically compare and score candidates, facilitate the selection of best fit candidates, and suggest tailored interview questions. In sales, it provides deep analysis of historical contracts, identify customer pain points and needs, intelligently recommends the most suitable products, and generates customized sales proposal.
