Canon launches the new user-centric multifunctional device that optimizes smart offices, saves energy and increases efficiency.

Canon new 5 Series also supports various mobile operation, including wireless network printing and WiFi Direct printing. Scanning and printing files cannot be easier with the aid of the Canon PRINT Business, a free application that enables users to print, scan, browse and edit documents, photos and graphics. Users can print and scan by connecting the application to cloud platforms including iCloud and Google Drive, thus increasing work efficiency and productivity. My ADVANCE of Canon new 5 Series introduces a user personalization environment optimizing the working processes of each individual employee. It utilizes three key features which are: My Display, My Settings and My Functions. Users can set the initial screen, language and other My Display settings to have their own user interfaces. My Settings, such as personalized options shortcuts and default settings like file name, can greatly enhance individual working effectiveness. Individual and group address book from My Functions can store more than 20,000 address information, while the contact information privacy is safely protected. Picture Login allows users to log in simply by touching the personalized icon screen instead of entering a username and password. The 5 Series runs with the latest Canon 3rd generation operating system which automatically updates to the latest version available.The built-in motion sensor awakes Canon new 5 Series from sleep mode, through detecting and accessing the approaching person as a user. The device, in sleep mode, analyzes motions detected in the guide area. It returns to operation mode once users enter the recovery area with approaching path. However, even with users detected nearby, the device goes to sleep automatically after 30 seconds without operation is detected or when the job is completed. It can be energy saving and create a green office.
The new control panel comes with a 10.1” capacitive touchscreen. It provides a smartphone-like experience. Swiping, flicking and zooming are available anywhere in device screen offering smooth responsiveness and easy operability.

It supports printing as well as scanning, capturing, adjusting images and document management, enabling users to print photos, web pages, images, PDF, word documents as well as attaching in email after scanning. The application can connect to cloud platform for printing and scanning operation, i.e. iCloud, Google Drive, Dropbox.
The new 5 Series also supports Apple AirPrint and Google Cloud Print, which enable users to print directly through wireless network without the need to install printer drivers, Mobile printing solution lets users manage documents in a easy way through smart phones or tablets.

Canon uniFLOW is one of the Output Management Solutions which includes an intelligent platform to streamline the entire management of the document process. With swipe card authentication, users can log into the uniFLOW system and print their confidential documents in anytime and anywhere, users can select the whole print job or part of it. This reduces printing mistakes, paper wastage and prevents data leakage. The system collects data to prepare system and analysis report automatically, making it easy to review resource management systems, including usage of print, scan and fax job, supporting enterprises for internal management, optimizing resource usage to create a green office.
