Chado ceremony is one of Japan's traditional cultures, with a history of over 400 years which has evolved from a simple act of serving tea to guests into a highly refined and performative art form. In order to let our customers enjoy this unique experience, Canon Hong Kong held the Japanese Culture Experience Day on 21th June 2023 at Canon Business Experience Centre.
On the day, we invited Ms. Kazuyo Murota , a professional Chado ceremony teacher and executive of the Chado Urasenke Hong Kong Association, to teach our guests the way to brew the tea, as well as utensils used in the ceremony too. Apart from a perfect performance while serving the tea itself, certain important things about Chado were also introduced in the lesson. For instance, history and spirit of Chado. Customer experienced the freshly brewed cup of Chado tea and enjoyed Wagashi (Japanese sweets) too. Let you dive deep into the rich and fascinating world of traditional Japanese culture.
