    Canon Hong Kong awarded the 20 Years + Caring Company Logo for the first time in recognition of continuous commitment in building a caring and inclusive community

    Canon Hongkong Company Limited (Canon Hong Kong) always adheres to our corporate philosophy “Kyosei”. Over the years, we have been working closely with various charitable organizations to reach those in need, with the aim of giving back to the community with our imaging expertise and resources to demonstrate corporate social responsibility in action. Canon Hong Kong is honored that these efforts are recognized by the partnered NGOs which nominated us as "Caring Company" via the Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS).

    This year, Canon Hong Kong is proudly awarded the “20 Years + Caring Company” logo for the first time to honor our continuous endeavor in caring for the Community Employees and the Environment. Through actively participating and contributing to wide range of activities including environmental protection, caring to grassroots sector, support to the photography classes for the special education needs people and spreading love to the community in need, Canon Hong Kong received nominations from 8 organizations below (listed in no particular order):

    • Arts with the Disabled Association Hong Kong (ADAHK)
    • Christian Family Service Centre
    • Everbright Concern Action
    • Hong Kong Family Welfare Society
    • St James' Settlement
    • The Green Earth Limited
    • World Wide Fund for Nature Hong Kong
    • Yan Chai Hospital Social Services Department

    Caring Company Scheme was first introduced in 2002 by HKCSS, aimed to establish a platform for the strategic partnerships between the business sector and the social community, to promote the corporate social responsibility and sustainable social development, and to honor the contribution of the corporations. According to the official statistics from HKCSS, the number of enterprises and organizations awarded in 2023-2024 reached 4,207, and the number of volunteer hours also reached 150,000, shown that the enterprises and organizations in Hong Kong highly uphold CSR practices in fostering a sustainable society.

    Canon Hong Kong has been awarded the "20 Years + Caring Company" logo for the ongoing contribution in caring of community, employees and the environment.

    As the corporate member of The Green Earth and WWF-HK, Canon Hong Kong Corporate Volunteer Team participated in various activities such as “Hiking Trail Clean Up Service”, “Tree Planting Day” & “Remove Overgrown Weeds in Mai Po Nature Reserve”, to promote and embody sustainable green life and protect biodiversity.
    As the corporate member of The Green Earth and WWF-HK, Canon Hong Kong Corporate Volunteer Team participated in various activities such as “Hiking Trail Clean Up Service”, “Tree Planting Day” & “Remove Overgrown Weeds in Mai Po Nature Reserve”, to promote and embody sustainable green life and protect biodiversity.

For example, lending photography equipment to “Life Enrichment Program for Elderly with Disability”, “SEN Photography Workshop” operated by ADAHK and “Zen Photography Workshop” by Venerable Sik Chang Lin. The workshops aimed to help the elderly, young people with special education needs and youth in custody to develop their interests and positive thinking through photography.
    Leveraging on our expertise in imaging, Canon Hong Kong often acted as an “Imaging Partner” to support photography activities organized by various charitable organizations.     Organized by Canon Hong Kong, “Imaging For Fun” Workshop aims to unleash children’s creativity via photography and printing in a fun way which is most welcomed by the Community Service Centers under Hong Kong Christian Service, Hong Kong Society for the Deaf, Hong Kong Family Welfare Society and Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups.
