The situation of COVID-19 pandemic still goes up and down, but Canon Hong Kong Company Limited (Canon Hong Kong) will not stop our momentum and continue to work closely with different charities to reach out those in needs by implementing the corporate philosophy of “Kyosei” via our imaging expertise. Canon Hong Kong is honored that these efforts are recognized by the partnered NGOs which also nominated us as "Caring Company" via the Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS).
This year, Canon Hong Kong was proudly awarded the “Caring Company 15 Years Plus” logo to honor our continuous efforts in the area of “Caring for the Community”, “Caring for the Employees” and “Caring for the Environment” for the 18 consecutive years. By participated and contributed to wide range of activities including environmental protection, elderly services, emotional support to teenagers & donation for pandemic, Canon Hong Kong received nominations from 7 organizations below (listed in no particular order)

- St. James' Settlement
- Suicide Prevention Services (SPS)
- The Green Earth

In addition, without the active support of staff to contribute their private time as volunteers, it would be very hard for Canon Hong Kong to deliver the volunteer services in the community. Therefore, we nominated Mr. Leung Chung Yuk from Technical Service Division and Mr. Anffany Yeung from Sales Division as “Caring Ambassadors” to recognize their effort in volunteer service from 2015 to 2021, contributing 630 hours and 139 hours of service respectively.
Caring Company Scheme was first introduced in 2002 by HKCSS, aimed to establish a platform for the strategic partnerships between the business sector and the social community, to promote the Corporate Social Responsibility and sustainable social development, and to honor the contribution of the corporations. According to the official statistics from HKCSS, the number of enterprises and organizations awarded in 2021-2022 reached a new record high of 4,156, and the number of volunteer hours also increased significantly to nearly 190,000, which is 30,000 hours more than previous year, while the corporate donations also retained at around HK$400 million, shown that the epidemic has not affected the enthusiasm of enterprises to promote social responsibility.
