Canon Hong Kong Organized the Third Blood Donation Day This Year
Blood transfusion is an indispensable component of health care, which may even be life-saving in various medical conditions. It contributes to saving millions of lives each year in both routine and emergencies operations. On 12 November, Canon Hongkong Company Limited (Canon Hong Kong) organized the 3rd blood donation day this year to encourage eligible colleagues to be regular donors to sustain an adequate blood supply. A total of 81 packs of qualified blood has been donated to the Hong Kong Red Cross Blood Transfusion Service (BTS) throughout the whole year.
In the time of the pandemic, Canon Hong Kong has arranged precautionary measures to protect the safety of participants, for example, wearing masks, checking temperature, cleaning hands with alcohol sanitizer and keeping social distancing between the beds.
