Canon Hong Kong Organized the Second Blood Donation Day in 2022
Blood transfusion is an essential component of health care which saves millions of lives each year. Every second, someone in the world needs blood for surgery, trauma, severe anaemia, or pregnancy-related issues. On 1 December, Canon Hongkong Company Limited (Canon Hong Kong) organized the second Blood Donation Day in 2022. Over the whole year, 58 packs of qualified blood were donated to the Hong Kong Red Cross Blood Transfusion Service (BTS) with support from Canon Engineering Hong Kong Co., Ltd., and Canon Electronic Business Machines (H.K.) Company Ltd.
To ensure everyone's safety during the pandemic, Canon Hong Kong has arranged precautionary measures such as wearing masks, monitoring temperature, cleaning hands with alcohol sanitizer and maintaining social distancing between the beds.
