CANON PLUS Extended Warranty Service application |

1.1) |
If your Product is still under existing warranty of Canon Hongkong Co. Ltd. ("Canon"), you can join the CANON PLUS Extended Warranty Service upon paying a Warranty Extension Fee. |

1.2) |
For Product out of warranty, Canon will need to perform inspection on your Product at an inspection fee* before CANON PLUS Extended Warranty Service application. |

* The inspection fee excludes parts replacement and will under no circumstances be refundable. Please refer to below link for the inspection fee:

i) |
If the Product is free of any defects, you will be entitled to join the CANON PLUS Extended Warranty Service after inspection. If the Product is of carry-in model, the paid inspection fee will be deducted from the Warranty Extension Fee of CANON PLUS Extended Warranty Service. Otherwise, the paid inspection fee will not be deductible. |

ii) |
If the Product is of any defects, Canon shall notify you of the costs of the repair and parts replacement. Canon will repair your Product after your consent. After the completion of the repair, you will be entitled to join CANON PLUS Extended Warranty Service. The paid inspection fee and repair fee will not be refundable or deductible for the Warranty Extension Fee of CANON PLUS Extended Warranty Service.

1.3) |
Canon has the sole and absolute discretion to refuse the application of CANON PLUS Extended Warranty Service.

| 2. |
Canon will send you a notification after successful registration of CANON PLUS Extended Warranty Service (the “Confirmation”). Your original warranty of the Product will be extended and be effective during the warranty period as written on the Confirmation. Warranty services are only available in Hong Kong SAR ("Hong Kong") and Macau SAR ("Macau").

The CANON PLUS Extended Warranty Service only applies to the Product with the model number and serial number as written on the Confirmation.
|
| 4. |
CANON PLUS Extended Warranty Service does not apply to parallel imported Products or Products not purchased from Canon or its authorized dealers in Hong Kong or Macau.
|
| 5. |
The copy of Confirmation must be presented in order to enjoy this warranty.
|
| 6. |
During the warranty Period and provided that the Product was used under normal use and conditions, you will be entitled to free repair service of the Product and free replacement of parts arising from defects in the materials and workmanship of the Product (fair wear and tear excepted). However, this warranty is excluding (without limitation) repair and/or replacement and/or cleaning of the following, which shall be amended by Canon from time to time without prior notice. |

6.1) |
Consumables such as ink cartridges, print head, toner cartridges, drum cartridges or bulb / lamp; |

6.2) |
Accessories such as connection cables, battery, charger, power adaptor, remote controller, external casing, memory card, battery cover; |
| |
6.3) |
Optional items such as cassette tray, network card; |
| |
6.4) |
Damage resulting from |
| |
|
i) |
the use of third party consumables or refills; |
| |
|
ii) |
the use of third party hardware or software; |
| |
|
iii) |
the use of inappropriate voltage; |
| |
|
iv) |
use of the Product other than in its general purpose; |
| |
|
v) |
the failure to follow operating instructions; |
| |
|
vi) |
any accident or negligence not caused by Canon; |
| |
|
vii) |
the conditions in clause 7; or |
| |
|
viii) |
any other similar events; |
| |
6.5) |
software, firmware, driver compact disc, manuals and the related installation; |
| |
6.6) |
dead pixels on display panels that do not exceed the limits on Canon specifications; |
| |
6.7) |
replacement of image sensor (except defects arising from production); |
| |
6.8) |
product and image sensor cleaning; or |
| |
6.9) |
LCD protector affixed to the Product.

| 7. |
CANON PLUS Extended Warranty Service shall be voidable if the Product or any part(s) thereof are modified, tampered with, altered, converted or repaired in anyway by anybody other than the staff or authorized service providers of Canon.
|
| 8. |
Canon may reset the Product’s settings to factory default setting in the course of inspection/repair/parts replacement without prior notice to you. Any replaced damaged/defective parts shall be Canon’s property and non-returnable.
|
| 9. |
If the Product is unable to repair or the model has been discontinued or is otherwise unavailable, Canon may at its sole and absolute discretion to replace the Product by similar model.
|
| 10. |
Liability |

10.1) |
Notwithstanding anything herein contained, Canon shall not be liable for any damage, loss, liability (save and except for any personal injuries or death resulting from Canon’s negligence) or failure to provide maintenance services under this warranty in respect of any act, omission or negligence (save and except for causing personal injuries or death) of any technician, employee or independent contractor of Canon relating to the performance or purported performance of any obligations under this warranty. |

10.2) |
You shall bear the risk and be responsible for all damages, injury or loss (including consequential loss, loss of profit, injury or damage) arising directly or indirectly out of or in connection with the service, delivery, or use of the Product. |

10.3) |
The maximum liability of Canon under this warranty shall be restricted to the replacement value of the Product.
|
| 11. |
CANON PLUS Extended Warranty Service shall not extend to anyone other than the original purchaser of the Product, as shown in Confirmation of the Product and it is not transferable. Canon shall be entitled to transfer, subcontract or assign all its rights and obligations under this CANON PLUS Extended Warranty Service to any company in Hong Kong.

| 12. |
Canon shall not be responsible or liable for any insurance coverage in relation to the Product.
|
| 13. |
CANON PLUS Extended Warranty Service for Products purchased in Hong Kong and Macau are renewable upon expiration subject to payment of a fee to be determined from time to time by Canon. Canon can refuse the renewal of the CANON PLUS Extended Warranty Service upon expiration of the extended warranty period. The terms and conditions of any Canon warranties are subject to change by Canon as its sole discretion without prior notice.

| 14. |
Canon reserves the right to terminate CANON PLUS Extended Warranty Service at Canon's sole discretion in the event of any uncertainty or doubt as to the applicability of these terms and conditions.

| 15. |
This Terms and Conditions of CANON PLUS Extended Warranty Service shall be construed and governed by the laws of Hong Kong and the parties agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hong Kong.
|
| 16. |
In case of discrepancy between the English and Chinese version of these terms and conditions, the English version shall prevail.
