Canon was a sponsor for the Asian Games 2018 which has been held from 18 Aug to 2 Sep in Jakarta and Palembang, Indonesia, with approximately 10,000 athletes from 45 countries and regions competed in 462 events across 40 sports. Photographers from all over Asia and beyond were at the stadiums capturing all the action of thrilling sports event.
Canon provided behind-the-scene support to accredited professional photographers covering the event through the on-site Canon Professional Services (CPS) Centre. Services included cameras and lens maintenance services, equipment loan for Official Photographer and emergency back-up and firmware updates.
Hong Kong is one of the Canon Asia region office to send CPS Professional Representatives and Technical Representatives to offered support at CPS Centre for such important game in Asia. Serving over four hundreds repair and one thousand loan units during the period.
