PDF Encryption

When confidential documents are converted into PDF format, password can be set up through Canon's imageRUNNER ADVANCE series while scanning the files. A password can consist of up to 256 upper- or lower-case English letters, numbers or symbols. To decrypt the PDF file, pre-set password must be entered to ensure document security. Encryption level is up to the 256-bit AES encryption standard, the world's highest level to date.

PDF encryption can also be extended to file access and printing operations. Files are set to be ready-only or restricted from modification and printing to enhance security, thereby reassuring users while handling confidential electronic documents.

Users can choose PDF encryption when scanning document.

Canon's PDF encryption reaches the highest international standard of 256-bit AES.
