Terms & Conditions for “Episode 1 – Where Do I Begin? A Digital Journey” Webinar (Broadcast) and Survey
1. Canon Hongkong Company Limited (“Canon”) is the organizer of “Episode 1 – Where Do I Begin? A Digital Journey” Webinar (“the Webinar”).
2. The Webinar will be broadcasted via Webex on 10 September 2020.
3. Upon clicking the Webinar URL sent by Canon, Webinar participants
(“Participants”) shall be deemed to have read, understood and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. (“Terms and Conditions”)
Personal Data
4. Participants acknowledge and agree to the collection of their personal data by Canon during the course of and for the Webinar. Participants also agree and authorize Canon to use their personal data so collected for the purposes of this Webinar, including making contact, record, or all relevant purposes.
5. The provision of personal data is voluntary. If Participants do not provide sufficient information, Participants may not be able to enroll in the Webinar. Canon will treat the personal data provided by Participants in accordance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) and with our privacy policy (https://hk.canon/en/consumer/web/privacy-policy) amended from time to time.
6. The personal data provided and collected will be used by Canon for one or more of the following purposes:
i. For creation, processing and maintenance of the Participants’ enrollment record, contacting Participants regarding the Webinar; the administration and m onitoring of this Webinar;
ii. For direct-marketing of goods and/or service and/or upcoming events of Canon, its parent company and/or its respective subsidiaries and/or affiliated companies and/or business partners;
iii. For statistical and analytical purposes; and
iv. Any other legitimate purposes as may be required, authorized by law.
7. The personal data Participants provided are mainly for use within Canon but the information may also be disclosed by Canon to other third parties for the purposes stated above, if required.
8. Participants have the right to request access to and correction of Participant’s personal data under sections 18 and 22 and principle 6, schedule 1 of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap.486). Canon may impose a fee for complying with a data access request.

Eligibility for Gift
10. One RFID Card Protector (the “Gift”) will be gifted to Participants on a first- come, first-served basis, provided that they have:
i. attended the Webinar; and
ii. completed and submitted a survey on the Webinar (the “Survey”) to Canon thereafter.
11. For the sake of fairness, employees and immediate family members of Canon and any agency, production house or supplier in relation to this Webinar will not be eligible for the Gift.
12. Each Participant is eligible to the maximum number of ONE (1) Gift only.
13. The number of Gift for this Webinar is limited at 70, which will be given on a first-come, first-served basis while stock last.
Disqualification
14. Canon reserves the sole and absolute right to disqualify any Participant from obtaining the Gift and/ or demand the return of any Gift to Canon without prior notice if the Participant:
i. commit a breach of these Terms and Conditions;
ii. provide untrue or incomplete personal information;
iii. provide inconsistent personal information at the time of enrollment and claiming the Gift;
iv. are found to be obtaining the Gift in any illegal or dishonest manner; or
v. are considered by Canon to be suitable to be disqualified under reasonable circumstances.
Gift Redemption Arrangement
15. Canon will notify the details of the Gift redemption arrangement by email (the “Redemption Email”) using the contact information supplied by the Participants. Canon reserves the right to require the Participants to provide information, including personal data, supplied by that Participant during enrollment for verification purpose.
16. If, due to incomplete or incorrect information provided by the Participant, Canon is unable to notify you, you shall be deemed to have waived your rights to receive the Gift and Canon shall be entitled to exercise its sole and absolute discretion to disqualify you, and to use such Gift for any purposes as Canon deems fit.
17. Photos of Gifts are for reference only.
18. Gifts are non-refundable, non-transferrable, non-resalable and non-exchangeable for other products.
19. Canon shall not bear any responsibility for replacing any damaged, lost or stolen Gift.
Miscellaneous
20. This Webinar is not sponsored, supported or managed by Facebook or LinkedIn, whom shall not bear any responsibility arising from or in connection with this Webinar.
21. Canon is not responsible for and shall not be liable for any loss caused by any problems, technical malfunction, or security loophole of communication network or computer software or hardware, or malfunction of internet and/or internet system; or due to any mistake made or actions by the Participant during the online registration or Webinar. Participants shall check the system requirements in advance to avoid any of the above problems.
22. Canon shall not be liable to Participants for any loss, damage, cost and expense directly or indirectly suffered by Participants (including but not limited to, loss of profit, loss of saving, loss of goodwill, loss of revenue or loss of contract incurred by Participants, whether anticipated or actual, or any special indirect or consequential damages of any nature whatsoever) or any action, claim and proceeding taken against Participants by any third party or parties in connection with, incidental to and consequential upon the performance of Canon or its employees or independent contractors in relation to or speakers attending this Webinar. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary, to the extent permitted by law, Canon’s total aggregate liability in contract, tort, equity or otherwise for any direct loss or damage arising out of or in connection with this Webinar shall be limited to HK$100.
23. All time is based on the time of receipt at Canon’s server.
24. Canon shall have the sole and absolute right towards this Webinar and Survey, including the right to cancel, postpone or change any details of the Webinar and Survey without prior notice to any parties.
25. Canon reserves the right to amend, delete, supplement and interpret these Terms and Conditions from time to time. In case of any disputes, Canon reserves the right of final decision.
26. Any failure or delay by Canon to exercise or enforce any right under these Terms and Conditions shall not be deemed to be a waiver of that right nor operate to bar the exercise or enforcement of it at any time or times thereafter.
27. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed and interpreted by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China (“Hong Kong”). Participants hereby irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Hong Kong Courts in connection with any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms and Conditions.
28. These Terms and Conditions are prepared in English and the Chinese translation is provided for reference only. In case of any inconsistency or ambiguity, the English version shall prevail.
