Recycle Program to Care for the Environment and People in Need
Canon Hong Kong (Canon HK) participated in the Red Packet Recycling Program of Greeners Action and the Lunar New Year Food Donation Program co-organized with Kindness Centre of St. James' Settlement for the 8th consecutive year. Canon HK dedicating its unrelenting efforts as a green company encouraging colleagues to participate the captioned programs in a continuous momentum in order to develop the habit of reuse and recycle in their daily life as well as to show our care for the environment and people in need.
After the Lunar New year, aimed to help people in need and to avoid disposal of surplus food as waste, Canon HK has called on colleague to donate intact packaged food to Kindness Centre from St. James' Settlement. During 8 – 18 Feb, altogether 128 packs of food, not limited to food gift set, most of them is assorted food included noodles, canned food, biscuit and cereal are been donated by warm-hearted colleagues. All of the food donation support to the food assistance and nutrition program of Kindness Centre to help the deprived family while contributing to waste reduction.
Canon HK also participated in the Red Packet Recycling Program organized by Greeners Action to encourage all to develop the habit of reuse and recycle in their daily life. Furthermore, has called on Canon Engineering Hongkong (CEHK) and Canon Electronic Business Machines (CEBM) joint hand together, a total of 19,492 pieces of red packets have been collected from staff during 8 – 27 Feb.
