    Canon Hongkong Honored with “The 100%HK Branding Award - Outstanding Corporate Social Responsibility in Environment”

    Canon Hongkong Company Limited (CHK) honored with “The 100%HK Branding Award - Outstanding Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in Environment” nominated by Hong Kong Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Recycling Association (HKWRA), in recognition of CHK's outstanding participation and contribution in CSR. CHK has been a member of Rechargeable Battery Recycling Program and Computer & Communication Products Recycling Program since 2005 and 2008 respectively, and actively participated in their activities. The ‘Computer & Communication Products Recycling Program’, has successfully collected around 150,000 pieces of computer products from over 1,500 collection points in residential area and commercial buildings since its debut.

    The award ceremony was held in The Hong Kong Computer and Communications Festival in Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on 27 August. The number of exhibitor registrations exceeds 200 and it covers more than 600 booths. During the four-day exhibition period, 384 computers and communication equipment were collected for recycle through the onsite environmental recycling station. The award ceremony gathered officials from member of the Legislative Council of Hong Kong SAR Government, famous entrepreneurs, scholars and media from Hong Kong and Mainland China, to witness different enterprises winning the CSR Awards which include "The Greater Bay Area CSR Award" and various exclusive awards that cover the area of environmental protection, talent and education, innovation and technology, community services and charity.

    15 enterprises honored with the first “Outstanding CSR in Environment Award”, to recognize their extraordinary participation and contribution in CSR.

    Mr. Johnny Yeung, Manager of Image Communication Products Technical Service Department of CHK, has been nominated as Treasurer of HKWRA for many years. He shared the amount of recycled computer & communication products in the year of 2017/18 and wished to promote the concept of environmental protection and recycling to enterprises.
    Some artists were invited to perform on stage, they have made the atmosphere even more excited.
