Fantastic Image Quality
Air Sphere Coating
Utilising the Air Sphere Coating (ASC) unique coating, RF70-200mm f/4L IS USM can suppress ghosting by reducing reflectivity of light entering from a large angle of incidence and vertically.
UD Lenses
RF70-200mm f/4L IS USM is constructed with an arrangement of 4 UD lenses that are arranged effectively to produce images with minimal colour fringing from edge to edge of the frame.
RF Mount
The large diameter mount and short back focus design of Canon's RF mount have unleash new lens design possibility allowing image of exceptional quality to be crafted.
Focal Length
The RF70-200mm f/4L IS USM allows you to frame a landscape for a creative composition and you could get up- close for artistic shot.
With medium telephoto focal length of 70mm to telephoto focal length of 200mm provides a range suited for genre from sports to portraits as well.
Image Stabilisastion
The built-in Optical Image Stabilizer provides image stabilisation of up to 5 shutter speed stops that allows shots that was previously not possible handheld. When used with compatible cameras, it could achieve up to 7.5 stops image stabilisation.
IS Modes
- IS Mode 1 for stationary subjects
- IS Mode 2 for panning
- IS Mode 3 for subjects with unpredictable movement
Getting Closer
The RF70-200mm f/4L IS USM is capable of focusing at distance as near as 60cm at any focal length, allowing you to get close to the subject.
On the 200mm end of the lens, you're able to shoot close-ups of subjects allowing up to 0.28x magnifications.

Designed Smaller and lighter
Despite the long reach of the RF70-200mm f/4L IS USM, it is lighter than the standard zoom RF24-105mm f/4L IS USM and 29% shorter than its EF counterpart.
Compact Design
With the lens retracted, RF70-200mm f/4L IS USM is very compact and allows more room within your bag for other essentials.
Floating Lens Design
Dual Nano USM
The two Nano USMs (Ultrasonic Motors) powers the RF70-200mm f/4L IS USM's autofocus (AF) capabilities, achieving fast accurate AF.
Each Nano USM works independently to control the focusing and floating lens groups: They prevent shifts in the focus position during zooming, and during close-up shooting, they conduct flexible lens position control which effectively prevents image quality from deteriorating.
The electronic floating focus control system within the RF70-200mm f/4L IS USM enables excellent control while reducing reliance on a mechanical system, contributing to a smaller lens design.
Dust & Drip Resistant
With a dust and drip resistant construction all the way to the extending part that keeps dust and water droplets out.
Vibration Resistant
Mechanical structure engineered to provide the extended barrel high durability and vibration & shock resistance.
Fluorine Coating
Smudge-resistant fluorine coating on front lens that prevents moisture and oil from sticking.
Heat-Shield Coating
Signature heat-shield white coating that prevents overheating in hot weather.
