Canon Hong Kong was Recognized for 18 Consecutive Years of Support for the "Rechargeable Battery Recycling Program"
Canon Hongkong Company Limited (Canon Hong Kong) has been actively supporting the "Rechargeable Battery Recycling Program" organized by the Hong Kong Electrical and Electronic Equipment Recycling Association (HKWRA) since 2005. As part of this voluntary producer responsibility program, manufacturers, importers, retailers, and consumers collaborate to recycle rechargeable batteries.
Canon Hong Kong not only promotes a range of recycling programs and activities within the company, providing employees with more opportunities to contribute to environmental protection, but also fosters a green atmosphere, integrating environmental responsibility into everyday life. In recognition of its unwavering effort in corporate social responsibility and environmental protection, Canon Hong Kong has received commendation from the HKWRA.
During the Hong Kong Computer and Communications Festival (Computer Festival) held from 25 to 28 August 2023, Canon Hong Kong was invited to set up ink cartridge recycling boxes at the festival entrance and in the "5G and Green Tech Zone". As an incentive for recycling, visitors could redeem one entry ticket by recycling four empty ink cartridges, while five or more empty ink cartridges would earn them two entry tickets. This initiative not only contributes to environmental protection but also allows visitors to participate in the grand event, creating a mutually beneficial situation.
