Wireless File Transmitter WFT-E7 II D

The Wireless File Transmitter WFT-E7 II D, dedicated to EOS 5D Mark III and 7D Mark II, supports high speed IEEE802.11n wireless connection in addition to IEEE802.111a/b/g for better compatibility. It features an internal antenna with 150m wireless range sufficient for most shooting operation, and a newly supported high speed 1000BASE-T Ethernet for high speed transmission. WFT-E7D features 5 communication modes including FTP Transfer, EOS Utility for remote Live View Mode shooting over network, WFT Server, Media Server and Linked Shooting, to offer versatile choices to professional photographers. Furthermore,WFT-E7 II D supports Bluetooth connection to compatible GPS devices and Multi Camera Time Sync function. Designed with high level of dust and water resistance^#, it is highly reliable for outdoor usage.

Connect Bluetooth GPS devices wirelessly

The WFT-E7 II D features an internal Bluetooth function (Bluetooth v2.1 + EDR) allows the transmitter to have a secure connection to third-party Bluetooth compatible GPS devices, making it possible to append location information for each file during high-volume data transfers.

Supports wired LAN 1000BASE-T Ethernet for high speed communication

For wired connections, the WFT-E7 II D supports Gigabit (LAN Ethernet-1000BASE-T) as well. For circumstances that do not allow for a wireless transfer, this option is ideal for photographers who want secure and even faster data transfers.

Multi-Camera Time Sync Function

Synchronizing the camera time wired or wirelessly is simple by the WFT-E7 II D. It is able to synchronize up to 10 compatible camera’s time, so that the images taken by different camera can be sorted chronologically and increase the flexibility of image management.

Supports IEEE802.11n for high speed image transfer

Wireless connectivity is gradually becoming an industry standard; many photographers are seeking convenient methods to transfer important image data securely and wirelessly. The WFT-E7 II D is compatible to 5D Mark III and 7D Mark II DSLR and supports IEEE 802.11n, which provides wireless image transfer at a speed roughly 2.5 to 3x faster than IEEE 802.11 a/g. The internal antenna offers a 150m wireless range and together with the image resend feature, it can ensure all images get transferred, even if a wireless signal drop interrupts transmission.

Supported 5 communication modes

Transferring Images to a FTP Server: images can be sent to a FTP server automatically or manually by the FTP transfer mode. Customized caption can be added to each image to make image browsing, printing and post-production more convenient right after shooting.
Remote Capture Using EOS Utility: EOS Utility can be executed remotely over a wireless or wired LAN.
Remote Capture Using WFT Server: using a PC’s or smartphone’s web browser, images recorded on a memory card in the camera can be viewed and downloaded wirelessly. It also supports in-browser image shooting.
Media server (DLNA) supported: view images through the wireless or wired network connection to a DLNA^*Certified® device. (^* DLNA: Digital Living Network Alliance)
Multi-camera linked shooting: the WFT-E7 II D offers linked multi-camera shooting and link up to 10 slave cameras to take a picture of one subject simultaneously at different angle.

Compatible Accessories

Apart from installing the WFT-E7 II D beneath the camera, it is also compatible to the Accessory Bracket AB-E1 (sold separately) and so GP-E2 or any external Speedlite flash can be used at the same time more conveniently.
