Canon HK Corporate Volunteer Team
Driven by the corporate philosophy of Kyosei, Canon HK is even more eager to empower the society by getting in real touch with the needy and put love and care into actions, therefore we established the corporate volunteer team in 2015. Our enthusiastic employees who voluntarily devoted their leisure time to different audiences in the society through various social services. As of 2020, a total of 183 corporate volunteers participated in 44 programmes, contributed over 7,700 hours of service with beneficiaries including special education needs children, low-income families, elderly as well as environmental protection. Our team is delighted to contribute to a better community through the services by practicingthe act of giving.

Rice Donation & Packing
Acts of generosity interaction have been proven to increase the positive energy of ourcommunity. Therefore, Canon HK developed a regular service with People Service Centresince mid 2016, to collect surplus market food. Our volunteers help to collect surplus foodfrom the wet market, including vegetables, fruits, bread, and even fresh meat and seafood. The collected food will then be re-distributed to the needy in Kowloon City district. As of 2020, our team collected a total of 87,078kg surplus food, equally average 183kg of surplus food daily. We further extended our service by a home visit to the recipients, suchas the elderly, singleton and subdivided room families to make the recipient feel closer to us. To reciprocate the gratitude to the donors’ continuous support on food donation, our volunteers prepared lunch boxes together with the recipients and send back to the wet market. This cycle connects the one giving out while at the same time touching the recipient’s heart.
Photography Workshops for HUBBA Lab of St. James Settlement
In August 2015, Canon HK organized 3 tailor-made photography workshops in Canon Pro Solution Hub for 28 retirees from HUBBA Lab of St. James Settlement (SJS) to encourage retirees to broaden their horizons. The workshops aim to provide basic photography techniques, as well as to spread the fun of shoot and print by Canon’s DSLRs and printers.
Sponsor of Hong Kong Red Cross (HKRC) Red Twinkle Star Charity Campaign
Canon HK believes that children are the future pillars of the society; it devotes to support the children development and being the Diamond Sponsor of Hong Kong Red Cross (HKRC) Red Twinkle Star Charity Campaign since 2013.
The main theme of the Campaign is “Hero in Action”, it aims to employ children volunteers aged 14 or below, nurturing them to have a spirit of humanity and moral education. Through school touring, volunteer services and humanity parade, members will learn the value of humanity and build up the habit of helping the people in need.
