Canon has launched the Ink Cartridge Recycling Program since 2009. By having the famous cartoon character “McDull” as the campaign ambassador, this program continuously encourages the public to collect empty ink cartridges for recycling. As of August 2020, we have collected more than 217,000 pieces of ink cartridges. Dismantled metals and plastics are being recycled into raw materials for other products.
Started from 2011, Canon has also launched the Inter-school Ink Cartridge Recycling Competition and Environmental Seminars for schools. The program aims at promoting recycling messages to the next generation. The program has received tremendous support since its launch. In the 2019/20 school year, over 240 schools joining the program, more than 54,200 students have participated in the 166 environmental seminars organized by Canon.
An extensive network of ink cartridge collection boxes is located all over Hong Kong to provide easy access to our customers.
Alternatively, empty ink cartridges will be collected by our courier delivering your order made through Consumable Express.
If you would like to request an ink cartridge collection box or to recycle the larger Canon ink cartridges, please contact us via email at firstname.lastname@example.org, or by calling 2170-2912 for further arrangement.
