While "Kyosei" refers to "all people, regardless of race, religion or culture, harmoniously living and working together into the future", Canon believes promotions of art, culture and sport is essential.

Canon Image Bridge Project

Starting from 2009, Canon China launched a cross-cultural communication campaign that connects the students from different countries in the Asia by image, regardless of culture and language among different region, building the harmoniously living society. In the campaign, students from different countries will be invited to share their culture and traditions through photographs. After photos taking and printing, students will share their comments on the tailor made photo frame, it will be sent for exchange with students in other Asian countries to build a ‘bridge’ among them. The campaign continues to develop and there are 10 counties or regions have joined the campaign, including Japan, China, Singapore, Malaysia, India, Thailand, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Taiwan and the Philippines.

Canon Hong Kong has been the sponsor of Kitchee, a Hong Kong Premier League soccer team, for 19 years since 2004. Through years of sponsorships, supporting not only for international exhibition matches, but also for local soccer trainings and establishment of Hong Kong’s first soccer training centre, to promote local soccer spirit and breed of sportsmanship. The Kitchee team performs brilliantly in recent soccer seasons with remarkable glories of championing the local competitions.

Sponsor of “UCI Track Cycling World Championships 2017”

Canon Hong Kong has been dedicating its great effort in promoting various kinds of international and local sports. Including the “UCI Track Cycling World Championships 2017” which was co-organized by Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) and the Cycling Association of Hong Kong (CAHK) in April, it was the highest-ranked international track cycling competition ever hosted in Hong Kong and was also be the second time in track cycling history to be hosted in Asia city after Japan in 1990. Canon Hong Kong proudly sponsored the world-class competition as the “Official Supplier in Office Equipment”, with a series of office printing equipment and consumables to facilitate the race office operations of the race office and thus the smoothness of the entire competition. The Hong Kong Cycling Team attained encouraging results in the competition against more than 300 world-class rides from 41 countries and regions – Ms. Sarah Lee won 1 bronze medal in Women’s Sprint, congratulations!

Sponsor of "Hong Kong Tennis Classic"

Canon Hong Kong has always been promoting sports with advance imaging technologies. Having supported the "Hong Kong Tennis Classic" for 9 years since 2003 as principal sponsor as well as official imaging partner; top players from all over the world, had attracted great media exposure in the city. Throughout the years, audiences had been enjoying the free photo shoot and print services as well as booth games from Canon Hong Kong, while media and Canon Professional Service members were supported with our onsite professional services such as camera inspection and loans, making the event even more successful. Since 2014, Canon Hong Kong has been one of the sponsors for the Hong Kong Tennis Open, organized by the Hong Kong Tennis Association, and officially entitled as “Official Imaging Partner” for the 2nd consecutive year. The tournament is a Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) sanctioned International Series Event. Over 40 of the world’s best female tennis players from all over the world, battled in Singles & Doubles for prize money of total US$250,000.

Sponsor of Homeless World Cup

Since 2010, Canon HK has supported the Homeless World Cup (HWC) Fundraising Tournament for 4 consecutive years, which is jointly organized by Street Soccer Hong Kong, Wofoo Social Enterprises and Society for Community Organization, to raise funds for the Hong Kong contingents to join the HWC. HWC is an annual world class, international soccer tournament inspiring numerous homeless players to alter their lives by regaining their confidence and getting discipline into his life. It is a 4-a-side street soccer event, which only last for 14 minutes per match. Number of national teams participating has risen from 18 teams in 2003 to over 60 this year, while the number of audience also surged and caught global media’s attention.

Support on "Japan Month: Kimono Workshop"

To cultivate Japanese cultures, Canon Hong Kong has been supporting the HKU Japanese Studies Department for its "Japan Month: Kimono Workshop" since 2009. Instructed by female managers of traditional inns, participants experienced conventional dressing of Kimono and learnt relevant custom, on top of the free shoot and print service provided by CHK.

Sponsor of "2009 East Asian Games"

Canon Hong Kong has supported the "2009 East Asian Games" as the Diamond and Official Imaging Partner. During the Games, Canon Hong Kong set up Canon Professional Service Center to serve all accredited photographers and showcased the legend to the world. Other supports included sponsorships of Canon-made commemorative calculators, prizes for photography contest and shoot and print service to the mascot launching event.
