Canon Hong Kong Fully Supported and Sponsored the "Green Earth Night Walk 2025" for 7 Consecutive Years
Canon Hongkong Company Limited (Canon Hong Kong) has been promoting sustainable development and giving back to society through a diverse range of activities. As a long-term partner of "Green Earth", we participated in and sponsored its "Green Earth Night Walk " charity event for 7 consecutive years, to continue supporting their promotion of low-carbon, waste reduction, and anti-waste culture.
This year on 15 February, a dedicated hiking team of six from Canon Hong Kong successfully completed a 10km night walk within 4 hours. The walk started at Pak Tam Chung PHAB Site, entering Maclehose Trail Section 1 to High Island Reservoir West Dam, and then returning the same route. Echoing the theme of this year's event, participants not only enjoyed the stunning scenery of Sai Kung and relaxed in the natural environment, but also learned about the importance of Leave No Trace principles at various environmental education zones set up along the route, encouraging everyone to protect the natural trails together. There was also a stargazing station on-site with multiple telescopes for participants to explore the night sky and learn about light pollution issues. With the perfect weather on that evening, participants are able to visual clearly the stars twinkling in the night sky including Venus, Jupiter, Mars and Orion, enjoying the tranquility of stargazing away from the hustle and bustle. The Night Walk embraced the spirit of environmental conservation by serving tasty low-carbon vegetarian food, encouraging participants to bring their utensils and water bottles, advocating waste reduction at the source.
Canon Hong Kong is honored to have participated in this meaningful event once again. We will continue to support various environmental conservation activities to bring more positive impacts to society and jointly promote a sustainable future together.
