Canon Hong Kong Received “Social Enterprise Supporter Award” for the First Time Driving ethical consumption and social sustainability
Canon Hongkong Company Limited (Canon Hong Kong) has always upheld our corporate philosophy of “Koysei”. We actively participate in environmental and charitable initiatives, striving to fulfill corporate social responsibilities and promote sustainable development in the community. This year, we received the “Social Enterprise Supporter Award” for the first time at the 14th Tithe Ethical Consumption Movement (TECM) Award Ceremony, organized by Fullness Social Enterprises Society (FSES). The award acknowledges our contributions to and support for local social enterprise development and the positive impact we have created for society.
The 14th TECM Award Ceremony is organized by FSES and sponsored by the Home and Youth Affairs Bureau. The Social Enterprise Award Scheme aims to foster genuine partnerships between businesses and social enterprises, jointly promoting ethical consumption and sustainable development to achieve win-win outcomes and generate positive social momentum. This year, 168 companies and organizations were recognized, contributing to more than HK$15 million annual ethical consumption with an approximate 50% increase from last year, and accumulating HK$58 million in cross-sector collaboration value to date.
Canon Hong Kong embeds inclusion and social responsibilities into our daily operations and supports social enterprises through hands on partnerships, including purchasing social enterprise products, co-hosting promotional activities and organizing staff volunteer activities. We will continue to deepen the collaboration with social enterprises and create long-term synergistic benefits for the community.
