HONG KONG, 20th September 2024 — Canon officially launches the new professional Full-Frame Cinema Camera with RF Mount EOS C400. The EOS C400 can deliver premium visual capabilities with its RF mount in a compact body that combines portability and expandability, providing professional videography capabilities.
EOS C400 features 6K full-frame back-illuminated stacked CMOS sensor and DIGIC DV7, delivering advanced visual capabilities such as high sensitivity and noise reduction to generate superb image quality, extending functionality from filmmaking to live events such as news reporting, weddings and sports. It is particularly well-suited for live production, media-reporting crews, and cinema and film production. Featuring Dual Pixel CMOS AF II focusing system, EOS C400 enables high-performance subject detection and high-speed AF. Built-in 5-Axis Electronic Image Stabilization system of EOS C400 also coordinates with RF lens IS to maximize image stabilization effect.
EOS C400 expands visual expression through Logs, provides Canon Log 2 & 3 Gamma selection to realize a wide dynamic range up to 16 stops. The Canon Log 2 maintains details in medium-to-dark areas and exhibits characteristics comparable to film. The Canon Log 3 can tighten the dark areas and reduce the noise in the dark areas without compromising a broad dynamic range.
