    Canon Group Companies Fully Supported the ‘Earth Hour’ Light Off Campaign for 11 Consecutive years

    Initiated by World Wide Fund for Nature, Earth Hour is the largest annual global environmental movement event by turning off lighting from 8:30 – 9:30 pm on the same day to show the concern towards climate change in the world. Event this year was held on 30 March. 188 countries and territories joined, thousands of landmarks turned off their lights in solidarity for our planet, over 2 billion impressions of #EARTHHOUR, #CONNECT2EARTH and related hashtags were generated to show their concerns.

    In global, Canon fully supported the Earth Hour and held a global "light off" event across Canon group companies at 323 sites in 38 countries and regions. Canon Hongkong Company Limited (Canon HK) also continues its support for the 11th consecutive year by turning off all unnecessary lighting and electrical appliances during the campaign period, and encouraging all staff to join hands to make a difference for sustainable development.
