DP-V2421

High-specification, full-featured 24”
12G-SDI, flagship 4K HDR reference display

A high-specification reference display monitor that is equipped to support 4K HDR video production workflows, the DP-V2421 can display 4K DCI footage entirely on its 4096 × 2160-pixel panel. The display boasts a high-resolution proprietary processor and direct-down RGB LED backlight system that not only faithfully reproduce colors, but also provide uniform brightness and color. This makes it ideal for supporting the high-precision work required for color grading. HDR standards such as Hybrid Log-Gamma (HLG) and Perceptual Quantizer (PQ) are also supported, and the maximum peak brightness of 1,200cd/m²* ensures that HDR footage is reproduced in its original tones.

  • 4096 × 2160 pixels, supports both 4K DCI and 4K UHD
  • Integration for selected Canon, Arri and Panasonic cinema cameras
  • 1200cd/m²* peak luminance, ideal for HDR production
  • Supports variety of EOTFs (HLG, PQ, Canon Log)
  • 12G-SDI interfaces (4 input, 4 output) and HDMI input

Features

Wide Color Gamut, High Luminance, High Contrast

The Canon IPS LCD panel and direct-down RGB LED backlight system enable coverage of a wide color gamut, and with the 10-bit panel display driver, reproduces video footage accurately. Next-generation color gamut standards such as the
ITU-R BT.2020 broadcast standard and the ACES2065-1 cinema standard are also supported. Local dimming, made possible by advanced algorithms, enable highly precise control over brightness. Peak luminance of the DP-V2421 also goes up to 1200cd/m²*, ensuring faithful reproduction of HDR footage, especially in the highlight areas.

12G-SDI Interfaces That Enable 4K Transmission With A Single Cable

The DP-V2421 is equipped with eight 12G-SDI interfaces (4 input, 4 output) that enable the transmission of 4K YCC 4:2:2 50P/60P footage with a single cable. With this, users can input 4K footage in 4 channels and then either display each feed on its own or multi view them in Full HD resolution. These features help to keep set-up time and costs low, creating a conducive environment for 4K monitoring.

Extensive Support For HDR Productions

With its support for various industry standard HDR Gammas such as
Hybrid Log-Gamma (HLG) and
Perceptual Quantizer (PQ), the DP-V2421 reproduces the original tones and contrasts of HDR footage that is crucial for accurate color grading and quality control. Other features that aid production of HDR footage include the HDR-ready waveform monitor; support for two different kinds of SDR/HDR split screen displays; HDR range variable adjustment; and HDR-compatible false color support.
