Canon Hong Kong awarded “The 100%HK Branding Award 2019 – Outstanding CSR in Environment” and “Top 10 Brands in Greater Bay Area”
Canon Hongkong Company Limited (Canon HK) continues to give back to the community, was nominated by the Hong Kong Electrical and Electronic Equipment Recycling Association and delighted to receive the 100%HK Branding Award – Outstanding Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in Environment two years in a row. The award ceremony was held at the “Hong Kong Computer and Communications Festival” (Computer Convention) at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) on 26th August, 2019. Canon HK is a long term member of both the “Rechargeable Battery Recycling Program” and the “Computer and Communication Products Recycling Program” since 2005 and 2008 respectively. While maintaining an active participation in their ongoing activities, Canon HK also increase staff members’ awareness towards recycling with in office promotion and seminars.
In addition, Canon HK was also awarded the “Top 10 Brands in Greater Bay Area” at the Poly World Trade Centre in Guangzhou on 26th June, 2019. The chosen ten were praised at the ceremony for their dedicated contribution towards innovation and entrepreneurship at the Greater Bay Area. “The 100%HK Branding Awards” was initiated in 2013, dedicated to provide an effective communication platform as well as discovering new sales channels between well-known businesses in Hong Kong and Guangdong. In order to encourage corporations to commit and contribute to Corporate Social Responsibility, “The 100%HK Branding Awards” includes “CSR in the Greater Bay Area”, “CSR in the Greater Bay Area Label Award” and many other exclusive awards, covering categories related to environmental protection, talent and education, innovation and technology, community service and charity.
