HONG KONG, 30th October 2024 — Canon today announced the RF-S7.8mm F4 STM DUAL, the third of its EOS VR System lens lineup. With the launch of RF-S7.8mm F4 STM DUAL, Canon is redefining the boundaries of virtual reality by combining cutting-edge technology with a user-friendly design and workflow. The new lens is also more accessible and allows more users to create unique immersive experiences.
Currently supported by the EOS R7[1], the RF-S7.8mm F4 STM DUAL lens features a field angle that is similar to a person’s field of view, enabling users to capture life’s most precious moments in realistic 3D stills or videos and spatial video[2], and then relive those memories on a compatible device like the Apple Vision Pro.
