HONG KONG, 13 May 2026 – Canon announced today the launch of the EOS R6 V, the first full-frame mirrorless camera model in the video-centric EOS V series, and RF20-50mm F4 L IS USM PZ, the first full-frame L Series RF Lens with built-in Power Zoom. In addition, new accessories for camera and flash, including Tripod Grip HG-200TBR, Wireless Remote Control BR-E2 and Macro Lite Adapter Set AD-M1, are also announced today, further strengthening the EOS R system lineup.
Canon launched the EOS V series in 2025 to answer the creative needs of the new generation, offering core technologies that maintain the strong points of the EOS R series while providing creative movie functions that stimulate the artistic ambitions of creators.
The EOS R6 V, the first Full Frame camera in EOS V series, is a video-centric interchangeable lens camera designed for social media content creators looking to expand their visual expression. It features a high-speed, high-resolution 32.5MP Full Frame Canon CMOS Sensor, supports 7K Open Gate RAW/MP4 shooting which offers creators more flexibility over what goes into the frame when repurposing horizontal content into a vertical format. Users achieve more creative control without having to do multiple shoots. EOS R6 V features a flat and linear body design optimized for video shooting with minimal protrusions. EOS R6 V is equipped with a 5-axis In-Body Image Stabilization and a built-in cooling fan for long interviews, live events, or long single takes. To meet the workflow of the new generation of content creators, the EOS R6 V supports Canon Log 2 / 3, Custom Picture, custom LUT, waveform monitor display, 4-channel audio recording and a standard HDMI Type-A terminal
Designed specifically for video shooting, the lightweight RF20-50mm F4 L IS USM PZ is the first full frame RF lens with built-in power zoom and weighs approximately 420 grams only. Its new operating system allows a single zoom ring to control both conventional manual zoom and power zoom using the lens’ zoom mode selector switch. The lens features an f/4 constant aperture and delivers excellent L-Series image quality with its 2 Glass-Molded (GMo) Aspherical lenses and 3 Ultra-low Dispersion (UD) lenses.
