Canon unveils New Full-Frame RF Mount Cinema Camera EOS C400
and New Cine-Servo Lens CN7x17 KAS T
HONG KONG, 6th June 2024 — Canon announced today the launch of a new RF mount high-end Cinema EOS camera with full-frame sensor for film and live production – EOS C400, and new Cine-Servo lens – CN7x17 KAS T/R1 with RF mount and CN7x17 KAS T/P1 with PL mount.
As the first Cinema EOS camera with 6K full-frame back-illuminated stacked CMOS sensor and DIGIC DV7, EOS C400 delivers advanced visual capabilities such as high sensitivity and noise reduction to generate superb image quality, extending functionality from filmmaking to live events such as news reporting, weddings and sports. Featuring Dual Pixel CMOS AF II focusing system, EOS C400 enables high-performance subject detection and high-speed AF. Built-in 5-Axis Electronic Image Stabilization system of EOS C400 also coordinates with RF lens IS to maximize image stabilization effect.
The new CN7x17 KAS T is a 7x Wide-angle cinema zoom lens with 17-120mm focal range, with outstanding Optical Performance that supports 8K Cameras. It offers enhanced compatibility with cinema cameras through complying multiple lens-camera data communication standards, they are CN7x17 KAS T/R1 with RF mount and CN7x17 KAS T/P1 with PL mount, effectively reducing workloads both on-set and in postproduction. CN7x17 KAS T also features a newly developed removable drive unit for improved operability and functionality, supports for focus breathing correction, going further to meet the demands of professionals.
