HONG KONG, 9^th September 2024 — Canon announced today the launch of a new RF mount Cinema EOS camera for live production and virtual production needs – EOS C80. EOS C80 carries a highly mobile, compact, and lightweight design. It features the 6K full-frame back-illuminated stacked CMOS sensor and DIGIC DV7, providing outstanding image quality. EOS C80 supports 6K oversampling and debayering for high quality 4K video with less moiré^[1], providing clearer images.

EOS C80 offers excellent operability to meet professional needs. Featuring Dual Pixel CMOS AF II focusing system, EOS C80 enables high-performance subject detection and high-speed AF. Built-in 5-Axis Electronic Image Stabilization system of EOS C80 also coordinates with RF lens IS to maximize image stabilization effect. The newly added 12G-SDI output terminal enables users to view 4K video on 4K display with just one SDI cables. Additionally, taking advantage of the camera’s built-in Wi-Fi and ethernet terminal, users can IP streaming for online video streaming in real time computer, going further to meet the demands of professionals.
