Canon Hong Kong Supports Orbis World Sight Day for 22 Consecutive Years 

 Uniting Heartfelt Support to Safeguard Eye Health 

Our eyes capture the vibrant colors of everyday life, guide us in exploring the world, and preserve every unforgettable moment. As one of the experts in imaging technology, Canon has long been dedicated to advocating the importance of vision and eye health. Upholding this belief, Canon Hongkong Company Limited (Canon Hong Kong) has been fully supporting Orbis World Sight Day for 22 consecutive years since 2004, rallying employee efforts to brighten the future for those with visual impairments. 

To raise public awareness of vision health, the World Health Organization and International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness have designated the second Thursday of October each year as World Sight Day. Marking this annual occasion, Orbis also launches its fundraising campaign under the theme “See the Joy Every Day — Be Grateful for Your Vision”, encouraging the community to turn gratitude into action while uniting all sectors to help people with eye diseases worldwide regain sight and experience the beauty of life. 

Beyond promoting eye care at the corporate level, we also turned the compassion into tangible support. Together with Canon Engineering Hong Kong Company Limited and Canon Electronic Business Machines (H.K.) Company Limited, we organized an internal donation campaign that received an enthusiastic response from 133 employees. Thanks to the generous contributions of our colleagues, we are honored to once again receive the 4th Runner-up of Most Participant Organization Award, injecting society with kindness and positive energy. 

Canon Hong Kong will continue to work hand-in-hand with our employees and community partners to support Orbis’s efforts to prevent blindness, aiding those in need regain clear vision and embrace every wonderful moment in life.
