為了確保最佳的列印品質，印表機允許媒體的每個邊留有邊界。 實際的可列印區域為這些邊界內的地方。
建議的列印區域(深藍)： Canon 建議在此列印區域內列印。
可列印區域(淺藍)︰ 可以列印的區域。
然而，在此區域內列印會影響列印品質或送紙的精確度。

「滿版列印(Borderless printing)」
- 當執行滿版列印時，因為列印的圖像被擴展到整個頁面，會發生裁剪邊緣的現象。

在其他紙張類型上執行滿版列印可能會在很大程度上減少列印品質和/或導致列印輸出件的色調發生改變。
在一般紙張上進行滿版列印可能會導致列印輸出件的品質降低。 僅在測試列印時使用它們。 只有從電腦列印時可以在一般紙張上執行滿版列印。
