The RF24-105mm f/4 L IS USM is a standard zoom lens that crosses the boundaries of still images and video to expand the range of expressiveness in imaging. Its flexible optical design takes advantage of the large diameter and short back focus provided by the RF mount to open up new photographic possibilities. An effective arrangement of three glass-molded aspherical elements and an Ultra-low Dispersion (UD) element provides outstanding imaging performance, while reducing the total length to 107.3mm and weight to 700g. It is the first L lens to incorporate a Nano Ultrasonic Motor (USM), which ensures quick AF for still images and smooth video shooting. It also features an image stabilizing mechanism that reduces camera shake by the equivalent of a 5.0-stop* increase in shutter speed. The control ring can be configured to adjust aperture, shutter speed, ISO sensitivity settings, or exposure compensation.
