    Global Canon Group Companies Supports the ‘Earth Hour’ Light Off Campaign


    Initiated by World Wide Fund for Nature, Earth Hour is the largest annual global environmental movement event by putting the light out from 8:30 – 9:30 pm on the same day to show the concern towards climate change in the world. Event this year was held on 24 March. 188 countries and territories joined, over 17,900 landmarks and monuments switched off their lights, over 3.5billion impressions of #EarthHour, #connect2earth and related hashtags were generated to show their concerns.

    In global, Canon fully supported the Earth Hour and held a global "light off" event across Canon group companies at 323 sites in 39 countries and regions. Canon Hongkong Company Limited (CHK) continues its support for the 10th consecutive year by turning off all unnecessary lighting and electrical appliances during the campaign period, to show our determination to save the planet and make a difference for sustainable development.
