Canon PhotoMarathon (CPM), the annual photo competition organized by Canon Hongkong Company Limited (CHK) newly added ‘Corporate Category’, with 18 teams of 4-6 participants each to join. All teams were required to visit the designated checkpoints and take photos based on the themes ‘Reflection’ and ‘New and Old Hong Kong’, won by teams of Accenture Hong Kong and Wait What Studio.
     
    The champion teams were awarded a unique prize ‘Taiwan Nantou and Pingtung Photography Trip’ on 17th to 21st February. This one in a lifetime trip is designed by Taiwan Tourism Bureau Hong Kong Office, covering different photography spots such as 3,000 ft Mount HeHuan, TaiChung World Flora Expo, Rinari Tribe, Purple Butterfly Valley and the Taiwan Lantern Festival 2019.
     
    The trip sponsor, Taiwan Tourism Bureau Hong Kong Office, with its Director Mr. Derek Chou says,’ Congratulations to the champion teams and I am glad the photography trip has been completed successfully. We have tailor designed a very special route so that the participants can travel through Nantou, Taichung and Pingtung in 5 days and discover the beauty of Taiwan through their lenses. “Taiwan Small Town Ramble” is the tourism theme of 2019, I would like to sincerely invite photography lovers to visit and experience the warm hearth passion of Taiwan.’
     
    Photowriter Ms. Celia Cheng is invited as the photographer instructor of this trip.  She has issued daily photo taking themes - Light, Colour, Moment, Butterfly . In Love and Lantern Festival Story in order to inspire participants’ creative and thinking.  Review meeting and discussion with advice by Celia was held every day after shooting.  Celia says, “This exclusive championship “Photography Tour” is really exceptional as it allows us to cover astrophotography, floral, landscape, portrait, macro-photography and night scenery altogether at one time, in addition to participating the annual Flora Expo and Taiwan lantern Festival.  Under the intensive itinerary and daily photo themes challenge, all participants are able to jump out from their own usual photo taking style and dare for something new.  I am so touched to see their improvements in photography skills throughout the trip.”
     
    CHK also supported the trip with the full series of EOS cameras, including the latest full frame mirrorless camera EOS R, participants can enjoy the opportunity to use Canon imaging products in different scenarios to capture wonderful traits of Taiwan. Some outstanding photos are selected and exhibited in Canon Image² from now till the end of March.
