The much-anticipated RF mount for professionals and advanced amateurs is now available with this 600mm super-telephoto single-focal-length L lens. The EF600mm f/4L IS III USM's optical system has been redesigned with a new optical and mechanical component design that weighs less. Super Ultra-low Dispersion (UD) and fluorite lenses have been used to combine the optical components starting with the second lens into a lightweight, compact design. This also provides high-resolution and high-contrast imaging performance. The lens' IS system provides image stabilisation equivalent to a 5.5-stop* increase in shutter speed, even with its 600mm telephoto range. The lens has a thermal barrier coating to keep the lens body from overheating when used in direct sunlight and a switch that lets the user choose between three manual focus speeds. Professionals and advanced amateurs with telephoto needs are satisfied by this high-performance lens.
