This is a lightweight, compact 10x optical zoom lens that allows the user to take everything from everyday snapshots to travel photos with a single lens. The 240mm end of the zoom range offers an image compression effect that seems to reduce the distance between subjects in the foreground and those further away. At the 24mm wide-angle end, the lens lets the user achieve vivid expression with a wide field of view. Two UD lens elements and one aspherical lens element provide high image quality across the entire zoom range, from telephoto end to wide-angle end.

The image stabilizer as effective at reducing camera-shake blur as a 5-stop increase in shutter speed*¹, offering powerful support for hand-held shooting. The nano USM delivers smooth autofocus whether shooting still images or videos. The control ring^*2 supports easy operation.
