The RF15-30mm f/4.5-6.3 IS STM is a wide-angle 2x zoom lens that is compact and lightweight (approx. 390g), yet offers a full range of functions. This lens can be used for a wide range of purposes, from grand-scale landscapes to casual snapshots. The optical system features a PMo aspherical lens and two UD lenses, to deliver crisp, clear images.

Its image stabilization feature is as effective at suppressing camera-shake blur as a 5.5-stop increase in shutter speed*¹, making it suitable for hand-held shooting in conditions where camera shake tends to occur, such as when shooting nighttime scenery. Half-macro photography is also possible using the manual focus (MF) setting, to get as close to the subject as 12.8cm, at the wide-angle end. This allows users to take stunning macro photographs. A lead screw type STM is equipped for easy video shooting.
