And by being compatible with both the Motion JPEG and the H.264 format, high quality videos of H.264 format at 1280 x 960 resolution can be streamed with high compression rates, as a result, network loads can be lowered to deliver sharp image quality and smooth instant monitoring.

Two-way Audio Support

VB-R11VE (H2) provides users with a two-way audio function. With a microphone and a speaker, it can transmit and receive live audio from the camera site. A warning broadcast can be preset and relayed to prevent intruders.

With the aid of Canon’s DIGIC NET Digital Image Processor, VB-R11VE (H2) network camera introduces a variety of detection breakthroughs that can calculate abnormal activities by contrasting and analyzing the inconsistencies of images. Eight detection functions can be activated:

1. “Abandoned Object Detection” watches out for illegal parking or objects dumping;
2. “Moving Object Detection” can monitor objects in motion like unauthorized entry;
3. “Passing Object Detection” allows the camera to detect any object pass by at specific area;
4. “Scream Detection” recognizes abnormal human sounds like screams or yells;
5. “Volume Detection” allows the camera to detect changes in volume;

7. “Camera Tempering Detection” protects the camera from being obstructed;
8. “Intrusion Detection” identifies moving objects of specified size entering an out of bounds area.

In case of abnormal events, these detection functions will activate auto recording and send out an email notification for users, so quicker action can be responded.

Privacy Mask Function

To safeguard sensitive and confidential data from leaking, the new VB-R11VE (H2) includes a Privacy Mask Function to block certain angles of the camera’s view, up to 8 areas can be digitally masked from viewing, only authorized users can have access to the information.

Thanks to the Smart Shade Control (SSC), VB-R11VE (H2) can brighten under-exposed areas and improve contrast against the background illumination, enhancing video images with sharp and clear details. This can tackle the problem of over-exposed background commonly found in other network cameras that provide general lighting only.

Improved Reliability with Built-in SD Memory Card Slot

With a built-in SD Memory Card slot that supports SD/ SDHC memory cards for up to 32GB, the VB-R11VE (H2) offers a secure backup on top of server streaming. In the event of a breakdown in data transmission, the VB-R11VE (H2) will automatically record images simultaneously to avoid potential operational disruptions.

Power over Ethernet (PoE)

VB-R11VE (H2) is compatible with PoE compatibility. By using a LAN cable, data can be transferred without the need for a separate power source.
